What is an active directory?

 An Active Directory (AD) is a directory service that was developed by Microsoft and is used to store varying objects, such as network information, printer, computer, user, and more. It is used to facilitate the network efficiently with multiple domain controllers in varying locations with the AD database.

What do you mean by ADC?

ADC is an acronym for Active Directory Domain Controller. It is a type of server that holds an active directory database. All of the active directories are replicated to the directory controller.

What is group policy?

Group Policy is an infrastructure that allows you to specify managed configurations for users and computers through Group Policy settings and Group Policy Preferences. To configure Group Policy settings that affect only a local computer or user, you can use the Local Group Policy Editor.

What is DNS?

Domain Naming System. Used to resolve the host name (FQDN) name to IP Address and Vice Versa

The DNS stands for the domain name system. The IP addresses are constantly changing, so the DNS makes the IP address into human-friendly names so humans can remember them much more easily. This is less likely to change. For example, if you look at the standard phone book and search for a person’s name, you will get their phone number. In this case, the DNS performs the same operation as a standard phone book but with updates on an hourly or daily basis. Due to the tiring nature of the DNS, it makes it possible to have repeated queries that can be responded to quickly.

An ITIL emergency change is the highest priority change that can be defined in an organization. An expedited change is a change that meets a critical business requirement without the normal review and approval time.

What do you mean by CAB? 

CAB (Change Advisory Board) is an authoritative and representative group of people who are responsible for assessing, from both a business and a technical viewpoint, all high impact Requests for Change (RFCs).

What is a PIR?

Post Implementation Review (PIR) is that which takes place after a change or a project has been implemented.

Explain the service portfolio, service catalog, and service pipeline. 

Service portfolio refers to the services provided by service providers across all Market and all customers. Service Catalogue is the subset of the Service portfolio. Services ready to be offered to customers are listed in the service catalog. Service Pipeline consists of services under development.

What is the difference between an Incident and a Problem? 

An incident is an event that leads to an unplanned interruption to an IT service. It is a single unplanned event that causes a service disruption. On the other hand, a problem refers to the underlying cause of one or more incidents.

Define Service Level Agreement (SLA) 

A Service Level Agreement is a commitment between a service provider and the end-user. It represents the level of service, which is assumed by this service provider. 

Important features of ITIL? 

One language/terminology. Related process and tasks (roles). Focus on IT. However, it is just not only suitable for IT. ITIL is a means to deliver consistent quality. Existing activities and how to optimize them. 

Define SLR 

Service Level Requirements or SLR is a document having the requirements for a service from the client viewpoint to define a target. 

What is capacity management? 

Capacity Management is focused on ensuring that at all times, the cost-effective capacity exists that meets the business demands mention in SLA. 

What is IT Service Continuity Management? 

ITSCM process ensures that the service provider provides the minimum agreedupon levels of service
